Didn’t do much except regular work. At town in evening. Nice weather. I got a permanent today.

Bill and Val worked at odds and end jobs. Kennie called, Aunt Ava and Uncle Lewis also Fern and Lloyd in eve.

Monday, December 20, 1948

Nice day. We washed. Milan called. Mama down there in afternoon.

Tuesday, December 21, 1948

Pretty good day. It began to snow again tonight. Carlton came. Bill and I downtown called to see him.

Wednesday, December 22, 1948

Churned. Got ready to go to Portland.

Thursday, December 23, 1948

I went to Portland with Kennie and Dot, Rayburn and Freddie Boutilier in our car. Did Christmas shopping. I was sick when I got home.

Friday, December 24, 1948

Cooked, cleaned up the house, got ready for Christmas.
