Nice day with showers. Bill, kids and I went to carnival in eve. Mama up to Aunt Ava’s.

Nice day. Bill’s father and mother up. We went over to Poland Spring house.

Monday, August 16, 1948

Washed, ironed. Aunt Ava here and washed. Very good day.

Tuesday, August 17, 1948

Canned peas. Fair day.

Wednesday, August 18, 1948

Didn’t do much today.

Thursday, August 19, 1948

Washed. Decided to get cow and hens.

Friday, August 20, 1948

Aunt Ava and Uncle Lewis here. We canned string beans. Bill and I pulled kidney beans. Hot.
