Snowed. Bill worked. School kept ‘til one o’clock.

Sunday, January 18, 1948

Cold and windy. Bill shoveled snow. Billie worked most of the day.

Monday, January 19, 1948

We washed. Rosalie came down. Cold. Cleaned house.

Tuesday, January 20, 1948

I cleaned the upstairs. Mama done the ironing. Ilan took Dorothea and I with Rosalie and Nancy down to Scout time. Bill wouldn’t take us. Nice day.

Wednesday, January 21, 1948

I cleaned Mama’s room and Ed’s room. Started on the living room. Snowed. Bill didn’t work. Jean got word from New York. Lloyd, Fern and Raymond called in eve.

Thursday, January 22, 1948

Cold. Jean got word boat wouldn’t arrive till Saturday morning.

Friday, January 23, 1948

Jean left tonight to meet her folks at New York. Cold and cloudy.
