Nice day. Made raised bread and rolls. Made some cookies. Kennie and Arnold Lane called for a paper to sign about Papa’s place.

Sunday, January 11, 1948

The hens laid 4 eggs today. Billie worked at Maple Lane. Kennie and Dot here for dinner.

Monday, January 12, 1948

We washed. Cloudy. Bill went to work with Hayd. Got 3 eggs. Blanche and kids called in late p.m. Awful cold in a.m., warmed up in p.m.

Tuesday, January 13, 1948

Still cloudy but quite warm. I went to town with Aunt Linnie. She went to beauty parlor, also Auntie and Fern came in.

Wednesday, January 14, 1948

Blanche and Rev. Monroe took Ronald to Goodwill Farm at Hinckley today. I cooked and ironed. Joy here tonight.

Thursday, January 15, 1948

At last, Mr. and Mrs. Crook are on their way to Bridgton. Left yesterday. We washed. Very cold.
