Canned, cooked. Bill and I went to town with Kennard. Billie got his new calf tonight.

Sunday, September 7, 1947

Hot. Bob Grover called to see Bill about his car. We washed and churned. Bill and Kennard got tractor to going. All ate outdoors and Fern and Lloyd.

Monday, September 8, 1947

Lester Ames got hurt awful bad his tractor ran over him. School began.

I went over to Aunt Joe’s. Betty went with me. I didn’t do much.

Hot. Bill, Bob and Ava and I went to Norway. I washed. Mama down to Mina’s.

Very hot. Jean got a letter from Mr. Crook. Very encouraging about the folks coming over. To Aunt Lena’s today. Jack and Sylvia and Kennard and Dot called. Billie got the heifer home tonight.
