Washed. Bill and I went to town in eve with Kennard and Dolores. Mama down to Mina’s all night.

Sunday, September 14, 1947

Cloudy. Bill worked some down cellar. Billie and Lloyd got Bills other heifer home. Papa died three months ago today.

Monday, September 15, 1947

Hot. Washed. Didn’t do much today.

Tuesday, September 16, 1947

Bill didn’t work. He began on the cellar. Mama down to Dr. Sherburnes.

Wednesday, September 17, 1947

Betty and I here alone today. Mama down to Dot Prescotts.

Thursday, September 18, 1947

Betty and I went up to Dolores. We see young Fred Linscott’s truck burn.

Friday, September 19, 1947

Showery. I walked over to Aunt  Joe’s. Cold today. Canned squash.
