August 7 - 10, 1985

Wednesday, August 7, 1985 Carmen came home from vacation, hot

 

Another nice hot day, in PM it was cooler. Billie to the eye doctor. A good report, his eyes are better. Bill is doing very well. Dorothea and Iva called. They went to Portland and took Billie with them. Zack went also. Kim came up. She is leaving for Marblehead tonight for a short visit. Carmen called, we went over to Harrison with Carmen and Betty

 

 

 

Thursday, August 8, 1985 RAIN, THUNDER SHOWER

 

We had a heavy thunder shower. It put my portable phone out of order. It struck everywhere here. I haven’t felt very good today. Too much green vegetables. I didn’t do much. I vacuumed, done up regular work.

 

 

 

Friday, August 9, 1985

 

Another hot day, humid. I did a wash, feel better too. I done a few other jobs. Betty, Carmen, Zack and I over to Harrison to look at a couple houses. I got a good supper, corn and squash, made some blueberry biscuits. Zack took Billie out for supper tonight. Kim came home today from Massachusetts after visiting Eddie and his family. Carmen is suffering with asthmatic problems.

Saturday, August 10, 1985 Hot Again

 

I feel good again now. It a lot or normal eating. I got up early, got the work done up, the floors washed and went to town early. Got groceries, came home, done my hair. Milan called and Betty Horton. In late PM Milan and Betty called. Billie worked all day out in the garden and the awful hot sun. Kim down to Betty’s in PM. Carmen worked all day at hospital and nursing home
