Thursday, November 23, 1944 Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving chickens, mashed potatoes, sweet potato, turnip, squash, peas, boiled onions, cranberry sauce, fruit salad, pickles, hot rolls, gravy, pumpkin, custard, lemon sponge, apple pies, whipped cream cake, cream puffs, and Indian pudding. Lloyd came up and finished putting storm windows on. Bill worked, Bob and Ronald called and Kennard called in p.m. Also Fern and Lloyd in eve. (snowing)
