April 25 - 27, 1975 Wanda Jean Harmon Wedding

Friday, April 25, 1975 BETTY TO HOSPITAL TO SEE DR. ABOUT HER EAR

Well this is been a fair day. Not too much like spring. Bill worked at Walt’s hauling manure. I was at Betty’s all day. We finished cleaning the bureau draws and closets upstairs. In p.m. I kind of picked up the house a little. Susan called. Betty got ready and went to Portland to see a ear specialist. He discovered a piece of tissue laying on the eardrum. The doctor removed it and said after 24 hours the noise should be stopped. I sure hope so. I went back down there to stay after supper. I finished the washing. Esther and Cliff called down there. Betty and Walt went out for supper, got home about 8:30. Kids were okay.

Saturday, April 26, 1975 WANDA JEAN HARMON, FREDERICK JAMES THOMPSON married at 2 PM

Will this is been a all sorts day, rain, cleared, cloudy, snow flurries. I got up early, done some cooking, fixed my hair and put on a rinse. Went over to June’s, got it set. Came home, made another cake, washed floors, done a few other jobs. Got ready and Dorothea and Dave came. We went to the North Bridgton Community Hall to Wanda Jean Harmon and Frederick James Thompson’s wedding reception. It was very nice. Wanda looks so nice. Many relatives and friends were there. They got a nice lot of gifts. Betty’s family and Dorothea’s folks all here for supper and later Esther and Cliff came. Kimmy stayed up here all night.

Sunday, April 27, 1975

A very miserable day. Cloudy, not hardly any sun. Cold and windy. Very cold. I done my regular work. Cooked a roast pork. Billie cleaned up outside. Bill up early and went back to bed and in bed most all day. Not sick. He said, I think he was. I cleaned my desk. Billie and Walt hauled rest of the manure out down to Walt’s.
