January 1 - 4, 1974 David Thomas Died

Tuesday, January 1, 1974 New Year’s Day, DAVE’S DAD DIED

New Year’s Day. It was our first storm of any amount. Anyway we got through November and December without any amount. What did come went away with rain and mild weather. The storm of today will no doubt stay. Today we had Esther and Cliff were here for all day and until evening. We had dinner. We all watched the Rose Bowl and Orange Bowl parade, very pretty. In p.m. they watched ballgames. Betty called after supper. We called at Ferns. Today we got a phone call from Dorothea. Dave’s father died early this morning. Suddenly at home. We all feel sorry for David.
