May 8 - 10, 1973 Jean Died

Tuesday, May 8, 1973

A beautiful day. We cleaned Betty’s bedrooms, den, bathrooms and hallway today. Esther, Fern and I helped. Billie don’t feel too good tonight. Pony ran away with the picnic table today. Bill and I called at Kennard’s tonight. He is very lame, went to the doctors. He is to go into the hospital tomorrow for x-ray. Jean still in a deep sleep tonight Sally said. Billie worked at Betty and Walt’s tonight again helping to do the fencing.

Wednesday, May 9, 1973 JEAN DIED

Today we got the word that Jean died about 3:30 PM. We have been expecting this to happen for some time as she had a brain tumor which was malignant. Too bad she had this trouble. Today we worked at Betty’s again. Cleaned her living room and dining room. Bill and Betty papered their bedroom, Betty and Walt’s. It has been a very miserable day, rained hard. Fern and Esther worked down there too.

Thursday, May 10, 1973 Billie sick again

Partly cloudy. Today we worked at Betty’s again. Bill painted, Esther cleaned, and I cleaned. Dawn and Betty papered the kitchen. It looked so nice. Betty and Walt have a very pretty home. They love it. About 5:00 it cleared and the sun came out. Today Billie didn’t go to work, he was sick again. We got in touch with the doctor and he wants him to come tomorrow for x-rays.
