Monday, August 28, 1972 Zak very sick, Betty took Zak to Dr. Jones at North Conway

Cloudy in a.m. It cleared about 10:30 AM. Had showers last night that left it foggy and damp this morning. Lawrence Boynton called Billie, went with him to get cattle. Betty called and wanted me to go to the doctors up to North Conway with her to take Zak up. He has a bad strep throat. His fever was very high 104.5. He has slept all day. I came home and washed. Got supper. Billl and I called to see Zak. He is still awful sick. Bill and I took a ride. Bill worked at Walt’s today. Kim up here tonight.

Tuesday, August 29, 1972

A beautiful day. Betty and two girls went shopping for Carmen and Kim school clothes. They got a lot of nice pretty things. I kept Zak home with me. In p.m. I went down to Betty’s for Zak to go to bed. He isn’t at all good. Bill working all day.

Wednesday, August 30, 1972

A very nice day, on the hot side. Zak not too good. Bill and Betty working on the chambers.

Thursday, August 31, 1972

A very nice hot and muggy day. Bill working, he began doing ceilings. Betty helped, had callers etc.
