Monday, April 10, 1972
A nice sunny day. I washed. Down to Betty’s, we cleaned the
shed chamber. I did some more washing in p.m. Called at Fern and Lloyd’s in evening
with Betty. Walt called on Zak today. Snow settled a lot today. Zak was so
homesick when Walt was there today.
Tuesday, April 11, 1972
Another nice day except for some cloudiness during the day.
Betty came up early, we went to town, tried to get some shelf paper. Couldn’t
so we went to Norway. Got what we wanted over there. Came home at 11. Got Kimmy
lunch and Bill’s. Then we got to cleaning cupboards, got the top dish cupboards
all done at 1:30. They had the electric power off for a couple hours in p.m. In
p.m. Betty and I and Esther went with us, went to Raymond to grocery shop. Down
to Ferns in evening and done a little job for her.
Wednesday, April 12, 1972 Kimberly six years, Zak home
A quite nice sunny day. Betty got ready and went to Portland
to see Zak. Kim came up here. Betty brought Zak home. He wasn’t at all good. I
didn’t get much done, poor Zak. He wasn’t at all good. He should not have come
home. Today Kimberly Allie Horton became six years old. Kim has got to go back to
the hospital. Zak is so sick, also home sick.
