Wednesday, October 6, 1971

A partly cloudy day. I did some cooking, hand washing, ironed, mended etc. etc. I wrote to Milan and Betty. Bill working at Gordon’s. Esther and Cliff called in evening. We had thundershowers early in the evening at about suppertime.

Thursday, October 7, 1971

Nice day, cool. I done up my work today. Betty gone to Maine Medical Center in Portland to give blood for Kimmy’s operation. Zak and kids up here. In evening, called at Fern’s. I washed today. A nice sunny day on the cool side.

Friday, October 8, 1971

A beautiful day. I did refrigerator, regular work.

Saturday, October 9, 1971 hair set, $360

Cold, partly cloudy. I baked beans, made cookies (molasses). Did regular work. Billie took screens off, took care of porch furniture etc. Worked in the garage. At suppertime Dorothea and family called. Bill and I went to Fryeburg Fair with them, it was fun. Betty, Walt and kids over there too. Their company came tonight, John and Celia. Bill got paid from Helen Jones $360.
