Saturday, October 30, 1971

A beautiful day. I done up regular work. Baked beans, white ones. Made rolls and had a brown bread and some date nut cookies. In p.m. I went to town a minute. I with Billie called at Betty’s, they got the new rug down and the living room settled. It looks very nice. Billie raked leaves. Kids out trick-or-treating and to a Halloween party.

Sunday, October 31, 1971

Done up regular work. Made some cake. Billie raked leaves. Walt did a lot a fall work. A man came tonight, he bought the piano and phonograph.

Monday, November 1, 1971

A very nice day, quite mild. I did a big wash. Dorothea came up. We talked about Christmas etc. She went down to Betty’s also. She likes Betty’s floor very much. Her house looks so nice. In p.m. Betty and I to town. Man called about suppertime to pay for piano and phonograph.

Fern not too good, her leg is swelling again. Betty, kids and I to Norway in a.m.
