October 10 - 13, 1970 Zak has a broken leg

Saturday, October 10, 1970

Cloudy. I did regular work. Called at Betty’s. Also Es and Betty. Ralph and Sandra called there. Brought Pa’s car and furniture. Betty, Es and I babysat there while they took them back to Portland to take bus. Billie couldn’t get his dressing hauled or car fixed. He is quite discouraged about car.

Sunday, October 11, 1970

Cloudy and showers. Well went dry. Billie D here most all day. In late p.m. Billie and I took a ride up over the Ridge, up to Evergreen Valley. They are making progress. Fern, Lloyd here in evening.

Monday, October 12, 1970 Kim haircut

Partly cloudy. I done regular work, down to Betty’s, stayed with kids. Zak to hospital, they bandaged his leg. Discovered a break. Carmen fell on him. He is suffering a lot with it. Betty took her cat to be operated on. I washed some at Betty’s. Carmen over to play at Cindy Stackhouse’s after school. Kim got her hair cut. Betty and Walt called after supper a minute. They are pleased about their car.

Cloudy. Some showers. I did regular work, a dite of cooking, ironed. Desk work. Made some phone calls.
