Wednesday, November 25, 1970 Sue and new son came home
Today Betty, Zak and I to Westbrook. Picked up Dorothea and
we went to Portland shopping at the warehouse grocery store. Also did a dite of
Christmas buying. Came home, I cooked, got supper etc. In evening called at Ferns
and Susan’s. Susan and Christopher Lewis came home from hospital.
Thursday, November 26, 1970 Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving Day. The Horton family and Walt’s father, Walt
Horton Jr were there. Joy, Buddy and
family came in evening. Also Cliff and Billie. We had a nice dinner, Turkey, stuffing,
potatoes, turnip, onions, celery, pickles, olives, rolls, pumpkin bread,
cranberry sauce, custard pie and whipped cream cake. Milan, Betty called in
evening by phone.
Friday, November 27, 1970
Partly cloudy. Up early, done up my work. Billie and I took
off for Norway. He did his Christmas shopping. Came home, went to town. He did
a dite more. Bill and I to town in evening, had turkey sandwiches.
Saturday, November 28, 1970
Bill worked at Walt’s. I did regular work. Then went down to
Betty’s and babysat all day. Betty and Walt down to Portland Christmas shopping.
Bill, Billie and me had supper down there.
