A bad snow storm. It began last night. Bill called to work
about 5 AM. I did regular work, baked beans, made rolls etc. Billie took me to
town in p.m. Fern up here for supper. We watched TV in eve. I finished a letter
to Esther.
Sunday, March 22, 1970 Billie 39, Betty Lame Back
A nice sunny day but a lot of snow and mess. Had a birthday gathering
for Billie. Horton family here for dinner. Dorothea and Jeff came. In p.m.
Fern, Lloyd, Aunt Ava here for ice cream, cake. Billie got $28.25 in money,
pants, socks, shaving lotion, book. Bill went to Linn Cross funeral with Jean.
Dolores and Dot called in a.m., brought Billie card and cake.
Monday, March 23, 1970
Another one of those heavy wet snow storms. Bill called to
work at 5 AM. It snowed all night. An awful mess. I worked at my desk. Betty’s
back no better. Walt didn’t go to work very early, he helped Betty. Carmen
doing housework. I made two blueberry pies. Billie’s ear still bad.
Tuesday, March 24, 1970
A nice day. I was down to Betty’s all forenoon. She has back
trouble. I was down there to help her.
