February 5 - 8, 1970 Carmen's 7th Birthday

Thursday, February 5, 1970

I done up my work, went down to Betty’s to stay with kids while she went to town. Came home, got supper. Kimmy came with me for a visit. Worked on my scrapbook. Bill took Kim home. I sent Bill’s income tax today.

Friday, February 6, 1970 OIL

A partly cloudy day. I done up my work, went down and helped Betty get ready for Carmen’s party on Sunday. I did some ironing, worked on my scrapbook. In evening Betty took me to town and we called at Fern’s a minute. Carmen to Brownie meeting.

Saturday, February 7, 1970 very mild

A very nice mild day. Billie up early and gone smelting. Bill took a shower, went to the doctors. His foot or toe is okay. I made bread and rolls, to town, got Carmen’s cake and ice cream for tomorrow.

Sunday, February 8, 1970 Carmen

A beautiful day. I did my work. Went down and helped Betty to get ready for Carmen’s 7th birthday celebration (birthday was February 5) Betty had Italian sandwiches, cake, ice cream. Carmen got a lot of nice gifts. Fern, Lloyd, Aunt Ava, Dorothea, Dave, Jeff, Bill, Billie and me and their own family. Had a nice time. I stayed in evening to watch a couple TV programs in color. Susan called Betty, she is coming Thursday.
