They came for me at about 10:30. I came home. It was so good to get home. I love it. It is a nice day after the awful rain. Stanford’s are moving. Fern was up here. Lloyd fixed chairs. Kids, Carmen and Kim, and Christie was so glad to see me. Mrs. Whiting was operated on this morning, DMC. Betty did all my housework, took care of the shopping and her two kids all the time I was away. Thanks to her, also Fern’s help.

Didn’t do much. We just sat around. Betty got supper and did the work. She did a big ironing. She felt pretty good today. The Stanfords are moving. Walt brought papers home tonight for Betty to sign for the farm. Because of her condition she couldn’t go to Portland.
