July 2 - 5, 1969

Wednesday, July 2, 1969

A very nice day. I washed, ironed, cleaned up the bedroom some. Also the bathroom. Cooked a ham for supper. Aunt Ava and a Mrs. Guy Monk called in PM. Betty and Walt making phone calls in regards to a home loan. They called on Stanford’s in evening. Bill finished mowing lawn. Billie and I trimmed grass. Walt didn’t work. Lloyd home early, he sprained his ankles.

Thursday, July 3, 1968

Another very nice day. We did up the work. Betty slept in a.m. Went to town, came home. I cleaned a wall in the kitchen, washed windows and washed and waxed kitchen floor. Came home, had a swordfish supper. Did the grocery shopping today. I didn’t have to work for Dorothy today.

Friday, July 4, 1969

Bill, Walt, Billie home. Billie worked for Lawrence haying. Bill didn’t do much today. In evening I went over to Aunt Ava’s to see the fireworks. Walt and Betty took the kids downtown see them.

Saturday, July 5, 1969

A nice day, not too hot. I got the work done up. Baked some beans. Bill and I up to Evelyn’s and got some berries. Billie working for Lawrence haying.
