Some sun today. I went to town, got Christie’s license, sent an anniversary card to Dorothea and David. Mark, Donnie and Randy called. Bill got another card today. Bill called this p.m. on Dobbins. I cleaned up the house, ironed, cleaned up the electric stove. Delores is gone to her brothers today, he is very sick. Lester Witham up to Dixfield.

Not too many outstanding events of this year. In March Fern entered the NCM hospital, diabetes condition. In June Fern and I with Betty, Walt and girls went to Ohio to attend Susan’s graduation. A nice visit to Esther and Cliff’s. Also in this past spring Carmen and Kimberly Boutilier became C Horton and K Horton.

During the summer David got a new job, for Merrill Transport. They got their new home nearly made over and improvements made. Jeff did not go to visit his father. Early this spring we finished our house. Had a nice summer here. A nice garden by Bill and Billie. Bill to the clinic in Boston the spring.

Norma Gay married this fall. Milan, Betty with Norma visited us this past summer. Esther came for the wedding and visited with us. Uncle Lewis died November 14. Susan and Tom Rager were married in August. They had a nice wedding.

Kim had a pretty good year as far as sicknesses. In hospital once with pneumonia. Carmen in hospital, early winter with spinal meningitis, mild form. Also asthma. Late this past fall very sick with asthma.

When Bill went to the Lahey Clinic Walt took him, Betty and I went. Had a very interesting day, Walt showed us around.

Joy and Buddy bought a new home in Topsham, Maine. Robert visited them overnight a couple times this fall. Buddy got a deer. Joan not too good this past year. In early part of the year Rev. Martin Luther King was shot. Later Sen. Robert F Kennedy. Country was grief stricken because of these two killings. Astronauts around the moon December 23 and 24.
