Thursday, May 30, 1968

Cloudy, sunny and showery. It was cloudy and foggy when we got up. We got up at 3 AM, got on the road at 5 AM. Made good time all the way. It was sunny, cloudy and showery. We had a nice trip. Kids were very good all the way. We got to Esther and Clifford’s at 6 PM. All glad to see each other. We had a very good supper. Talked in evening.

Friday, May 31, 1968 Calf born

It was fair when we got up. It got kind of cloudy. Es took us around town and over to the Summit Mall. We looked around. Kim and Carmen had a good time. Called where Cliff works. Came home, had lunch, talked. Billie in school. Dorothy and Carl called in evening.

Saturday, June 1, 1968

It was cloudy and it rained hard all afternoon and evening. Fern, Billie, Es and I went out a little while in a.m. to get a few groceries etc. Betty don’t feel too good, a cold. We had a nice chicken supper. Cliff, Walt, Billie, Susan, Betty and Carmen played music. Kimmie did some dancing.
