January 17 - 20, 1966

Monday, January 17, 1966 LLOYD BACK TO WORK

20° above this morning. Only eight or nine above in and around Boston. Windy but not cold. I done some of Betty and Carmen’s washing and Billie went to the DENTIST and I went down there. Then Billie took me around to do our errands. They came up and washed and Betty and Carmen went home about 1:30. I finished all my housework. Billie didn’t go to work. Lloyd back to work.

Tuesday, January 18, 1966

A very nice mild day. I done my work, ironed and over to Aunt Ava’s for the day. Had a nice time and a good dinner. Billie was there to dinner. Billie had no word as yet about going to work. Still waiting.

Wednesday, January 19, 1966 mild 35

Cloudy. Got my work done up, went down to see Betty and Carmen with Kennard. Billie came and got me. Fern and Lloyd came also Holly and her kids. In evening Betty had Louise’s baby with her for a while, while Louise went to the hospital to see her father. I came home from Betty’s, made a pie, washed the windows, put up a new curtain in the bathroom. Down to Betty’s in evening a minute.

Thursday, January 20, 1966

Very mild, middle 30s. Cloudy. I done up my work, made lemon sponge pie and chocolate. Carmen and Betty came up here. Fern and Lloyd called. Today Betty got a money order of $39 from Mike. She and I went to town and she paid on her chair. Then we went to Norway. She got some groceries and some underclothes for herself and a goldfish for Carmen. She and Carmen here for supper. Betty bought me a 4 pound box of candy for Valentines.
