Saturday, July 31, 1965
Had the usual beans etc. Dorothea and I to town in p.m. No
one done much. Hayd not too good.
Sunday, August 1, 1965
Up kind of late, done regular work. Es called. In p.m. D, B,
J, C, and me all went for a short ride. Carmen got hurt. I done my hair,
blackened. Bill and Dorothea took her to hospital, not serious.
Monday, August 2, 1965
Did regular wash, didn’t have too much. Betty helped today.
Also we picked and froze shell beans. On the cloudy side. Es and Billie up.
Dorothea to the dog show with Barb and Nancy to Portland in evening.
Tuesday, August 3, 1965
Another dry sunny day, need rain awful bad. Cooked, churned,
picked greens. In evening Dorothea, Betty, kids and I out for a short ride.
Fern, Es, and Billie called in evening. Nola and Cathy called. Bill lame.
