Saturday, July 3, 1965

Rain. I cooked, went to town with Mike. Bill and Mike got the tile for the well today from LC Andrews. Hauled it was Gordon’s truck. Bob, Joy, Buddy and girls called. Betty and I up to the trailer. Kennard called. Everyone slept today. Bill lame.

Sunday, July 4, 1965

Dorothea called today. A very nice day. I worked all day, varnished rugs all out through. Picked peas. Mike pick strawberries. No one came to work on the well. Lawrence and crew here and done the rest of the haying. Fern, Lloyd, Kennie and Dot here.

Monday, July 5, 1965

Bill still lame. Nothing done on the well today. I done the back porch. Cleaned up, painted floors and furniture. Busy all day long as usual. Betty and Mike to the races tonight. Took Carmen to the parade in p.m. Aunt Ava called. Kennard called. Billie worked haying a little while this a.m. Bill disgusted about the well. No one to get it done.

Tuesday, July 6, 1965

A cold windy day. Billie finished haying for Lawrence. I washed all day long, what a big one. I took them all in and got them ready to iron. Sold our old washing machine.
