I put on the finishing touches for the big homecoming.
Kennie and Dot called. Betty, Mike and Carmen over to Auburn for the day.
Monday, July 12, 1965 Es, Bill and Susan
A beautiful day and Es, Susan and Billie came around 2:30. I
got my washing done about 11 AM. I had everything all done and ready when they
came. Was so glad to see them. They with Fern and Lloyd came up in evening.
Betty laid off at the mill tonight.
Tuesday, July 13, 1965 A Beautiful Day
DOROTHEA AND JEFF came. I was so glad to see them. We
began listing for the phone call in middle of forenoon. About 1:30 the call
came from Portland airport. Betty, Susan and I and Carmen went for them.
Dorothea is so pleased to be here. Most all the family called in evening, up to
the trailer in evening.

Wednesday, July 14, 1965
Another very nice day. Very hot and humid. Dorothea
unpacked. Jeff seems to enjoy things here. Barb and Wesley called. Rosalie and
her kids. Joy, her kids, Dorothea, Jeff and I went swimming over to North
Bridgton. To town and took Aunt Ava with us. Fern and Lloyd here in evening.
Bill cleaned away dirt from the well.
