Friday, March 13, 1964

It has been a beautiful day. I cleaned up the house. Betty to town for groceries and back again for the evening as usual. Blanche at home most all day. Mama had quite a lot of pain. Betty and Louise to Portland. Betty bought her a new coat.

Saturday, March 14, 1964

Partly cloudy. I didn’t do very much work today. I went to town. Fern up for supper. Blanche over home most of today. Mama about the same. Betty and Carmen to the doctors and got their oral polio shots.

Sunday, March 15, 1964 Twins Born

Twin calves born today. Billie’s cow had a pair of twin calves, one was a stillborn. Had to call the vet. He had to take them, Guernsey calves. Cloudy and gray. Kennie and Dot called. Aunt Ava. In evening Fern, Lloyd and Bob came, we had a birthday gathering from Blanche. She was pleased. Betty out for supper.

Monday, March 16, 1964

A very nice sunny day. I did a big ironing. Betty busy getting ready to go. Washed sweaters, clothes, packed a box. Went to town, got the box off. Calf better. Had a nice chicken dinner for Betty. Carmen good today. Mama pretty good.
