Thursday, September 19, 1963

Foggy this morning, burned off, a nice hot day. Bill began his vacation today. It sure didn’t start out very exciting on the first day. I got a letter off to Dorothea. She is so lonely and misses us so much. Billie and Dave Thomas gone to Portland to see the Budweiser horses Clydesdale breed. I cleaned and varnished dining room rug.

Friday, September 20, 1963 Mike 20!

Nice and warm. Today we done up the work. To town in p.m. In evening Betty to hospital with Bonnie to see Julie. Bill and I watched TV.

Saturday, September 21, 1963

A nice day, partly cloudy, cold. Bill hasn’t done anything much yet on this great vacation. Billie didn’t get up very early. I cooked, baked beans. Betty, Carmen and I went for a ride up to New Hampshire in p.m. Fern here for supper.

Sunday, September 22, 1963

Nice sunny day. I done up the work. Betty up to Lil’s and down to Bonnie’s. Bennie, Lou, Dennis, Mary Lou, Timmy called. Frances Herman, Kennie, Dot, Wanda and Blanche. Billie hauled his winter supply of bedding.
