Cold. I had to wash again. Carmen was sick and threw up all
over her bed and mine.
Wednesday, November 27, 1963
Today I got up real early. I cooked for Thanksgiving etc.
etc. I worked. Milan’s family came at about 12:30.
Thursday, November 28, 1963 Thanksgiving
A nice day. We had a phone call from Jeffrey and Dorothea
for Thanksgiving. It was so nice talking to them. Milan, Betty and Norma here
for dinner. We had: turkey, roast pork, gravies, mashed potato, sweet potato, turnips,
onions, peas, celery, pickles, salad, rolls and dark bread. Date filled pie,
cream puffs, white cake, chocolate cake, ice cream vanilla and chocolate,
donuts and cookies, tea and coffee. Kennie and Dot called and Blanche. I didn’t
have to work.
Friday, November 29, 1963
Cloudy in a.m., began to rain about noon. To town in p.m. No
cooking or preparing supper. I went to work today. Rained so hard. $42.
