14 below this morning. I went to work at 11 AM to 6 PM. Betty and I called at Ferns in evening. Bill and Billie home all day. Betty home all evening. Carmen a dite better. Mama not very good.

Thursday, January 2, 1964

Milder. I didn’t get much done today. Blanche here. Betty called at Lil’s. When I went to work we called at Aunt Ava’s. Carmen feels mean from that old cold. Not so cold today. Betty down to Louise’s tonight.

Friday, January 3, 1964

I cleaned living room, dining room and washed kitchen floor and windows. To work at three. Cleaned up Grace’s house. Billie to doctors, got a strep throat. Carmen better and downtown for first time since last week. $49.

Saturday, January 4, 1964

A nice warm day. I went to town early on my way to work to pay some bills. $50 to Howard. Bill home sick. Carmen over to Blanche’s. Dot and Ed and Mildred up for Grace for her 80^th birthday.
