Thursday, June 6, 1963 Root Beer

HOTT. Another awful hot hot day. We had a thunder shower in p.m. A very good rain. We needed that. Billie Deming here in p.m. Betty, Susan and Dana and Penny went swimming. In p.m. we made root beer. We had a T-bone steak cookout WOW WOWWIE. Fern, Lloyd, Es, Penny, Billie, us and Susan and Dana. Betty sent a very special letter today to a special person and for a special reason. Hope it results in good or for what we want and need.

Friday, June 7, 1963

Cooler. Nice and sunny in a.m., kind of cloudy in PM. Cooler, a great relief. I made donuts, blueberry pie, dry mopped the whole house and cleaned it up. In p.m. Fern, Lloyd, Es, Penny and Billie called. After supper Susan, Dana, Carmen, Betty and I to town. Betty, Susan and Dana down town in evening. Betty, Susan and Dana mowed lawns. Art swaps cows tonight.

Friday, June 8, 1963

A very nice day. Not too hot. Billie, Fern, Lloyd, Esther, Susan, Penny, Dana and Betty all took a nice long trip up country or state, called to see Telstar. They all enjoyed the trip very much. I made a pie, rolls and brownies. Billie Deming and I done up all the housework. Betty got a letter and snaps from Mike.

Saturday, June 9, 1963

Partly cloudy. Some showers. We had a family cookout today. Also they had one over to Bracketts. Thena and George called. Billie Deming stayed here last night. I wrote to Dorothea tonight. Cow bred last night.
