Thursday, May 31, 1962

Hot. It has been awful hot all day. I worked in my flower garden in a.m. Trimmed grass and all. In PM I cleaned up all my chambers and Billie’s room. Got supper. I made a blueberry pudding. Very good. Blanche called in evening. Lassie and I took a walk down in the pasture. Pigs came tonight from Chets.

Friday, June 1, 1962

A wonderful day. Cooler than yesterday. Blanche and I to Portland. I got paint for these two floors. Bill and I ordered the rug for living room. Dolores came down here and stayed with Mama.

Saturday, June 2, 1962

Nice and sunny. It clouded up and not as warm as yesterday. I finished cleaning up my house. Varnished the rug in Mama’s room. Billie to town and got paint for screens and porch windows. Bill and I to town and the cemetery. I came home, did a little cooking. Bill to Gordon’s all p.m. Fern up for supper and long evening. Art and kids up here tonight. Gardens is all up.

Sunday, June 3, 1962

Clear and nice in early morning. Got very windy in forenoon and real cold. Then in late p.m. it warmed up and wind went down. David Nevers father and mother called, gave me two tickets for the graduation. Blanche here all p.m. Fern, Lloyd called. Blanche and Bob here for supper. Kennie and Dot called. I wrote letter.
