A very nice day, cold and windy. I churned, washed, went to
town in p.m. Got a gift for Kay’s wedding. Dawn, Irene and children called.
Betty down town looking for a job in late p.m.
Friday, June 16, 1961
Fair, on the cold side. Today Wesley Gorman moved all the
hay. Hope it didn’t get wet. The WBZ weatherman, Don Kent, has promised a good
three days, good drying etc. I cleaned up the house. In evening Bill and I to
town.
Saturday, June 17, 1961 KAY MARRIED to Gerald Howard
A very nice day, sunny and not too hot but warm. I cooked in
a.m. In p.m. Betty and I to Kay and Jerry’s wedding. A very nice wedding. Both
very nice looking. It was at the Methodist Church. In evening Mike, David and Linda came up, they all went to the
movies. Bill and Billie worked on the hay after supper.
Sunday, June 18, 1961
A very nice day, good hay day. Bill, Betty, Billie raked hay.
Mike mowed lawns. Billie, Mike and Art hauled it in. I trimmed the lawns.
Betty, Mike and Jumper and I went over to the spring. Finished haying. 288
bales.
