Friday, March 17, 1961 COLD

Cold and windy today. I’ve been busy. I done up regular work, churned, ironed and cooked. At noon Nash ate breakfast. Billie, Art, Betty and Dave here. Betty home early from school tonight. Bill and I to town in evening. Grocery shopping and paying bills. Betty to town. Will go to Auburn with kids to get Mike.

Saturday, March 18, 1961

A very nice day. I have been quite busy cooking etc. Mike here. He and Betty went to town and for a walk. Here for supper. Bill and I called at Ferns in evening.

Sunday, March 19, 1961 A VERY HAPPY DAY FOR BETTY

Mike has been up all weekend. They had a very good time. When they took him home he suggested they become engaged the summer. I’m satisfied. He is a very good boy. Sunday p.m., had a pre-birthday party for Dot at her home. Family gathered. Missed Raymond.
