February 12 -16, 1961 New Neighbors

Sunday, February 12, 1961

Another nice day. All got up late. Bill and I over to Thena and Lila’s. Dolores called. Kennie, Dot, Ava, Lewis, Fern, Lloyd. Betty and Mike walked down town. Betty and Mike snowshoeing. Mike here for supper. Bill and Billie over to Thena’s.

Monday, February 13, 1961

A very nice day, on the cold side. It was two below this morning. I washed but was so late getting it done. Kennard called. Lloyd called. Linda Berry up her tonight. Bill and I over to Lila’s tonight. Weldon and family are going to move up here to Raymonds to live. Lila now is the owner of the farm.

Tuesday, February 14, 1961

Snowing this morning. I went to town this morning with Lloyd. Thena went too. We went to the cemetery. I ironed in p.m. $47

Wednesday, February 15, 1961

Done up all my odds and end jobs. In p.m. Blanche and I over to Norway. A very nice day. In evening Bill and I over to Lila’s and Thena’s. We all miss Raymond.

Thursday, February 16, 1961

A nice day. I washed, ironed, cleaned up the bedrooms. Linda and Rowena here tonight. Thena left for Florida today. She sent a telegram back to Lila, got there at 5 PM. Weldon and Lida moved in over to Raymond’s today and tonight.
