Well, I done up regular work. Checked over some papers etc. Aunt Ava and Ethel Lovejoy called. I cooked for supper.

Thursday, April 6, 1961 LETTER ADAIR

After over two months or so a letter from Dorothea. I washed, prepared supper, real busy all day. Kennard called. Blanche came and cut Mama’s hair. I went to concert with Blanche in evening. Dot, Lorraine and Wanda called.

I done up the work. I ironed. Betty home from school and went to bed to rest before supper. In evening she went to town. Bill and I to town shopping in evening.

Saturday, April 8, 1961

Another cold cloudy day. Betty raked lawn a little. Irene and kids called. Billie took me to town to pay Stella for paper. Paid up to June 7. Bill and Billie put a hose down cellar for water to cows. I cooked.
