Sunday, April 16, 1961

A miserable day. Snow, sleet and rain. Kids got up late. Kennie, Dot, Blanche, Fern and Lloyd here. Dr. Nash down home. Mike, Fern and Lloyd here for supper. Kids smelting tonight.

Monday, April 17, 1961

I washed. Cleared off some. This is vacation week. Betty and Mike up late after being up all night smelting. They went down to his grandmother’s and to movies. They are having trouble. I’m sorry. I hope they make things all right. They really love each other. In p.m. I went to Norway with Fern and Lloyd. They got Uncle Os a pair of shoes. Kids went smelting again tonight late.

I ironed, cooked and churned. Mike went home today. Trouble is brewing again between them. I sent a letter to Dr. Nash to find a new boarding place.
