Saturday, December 17, 1960
Today I done up the work. Betty did most of it. In p.m. Dawn
and George called. In p.m. Betty, Billie and I went Christmas shopping. Art
Ward’s folks called also Kennie and Dot. I had a cake for Dr. Nash’s 83rd
birthday. Bill worked at Jim’s in p.m. Roger Lewis got killed today in the
woods.
Sunday, December 18, 1960
A nice day. Dr. Nash gone home today for over Christmas. In
early p.m. I went to Fryeburg nursing home with Aunt Ava over to Os Abbotts.
Fern, Lloyd, Kennie, Dot and Blanche called. Bill worked at Jim’s.
Monday, December 19, 1960
A cold day, kind of cloudy in p.m. I went to Norway with
Blanche in forenoon, in p.m. I washed and got supper. Betty home from school
with Elaine Plummer and Linda Berry. They got ready for the B HS concert. When
she came home Linda and two sisters came with her.
Tuesday, December 20, 1960
A nice day, not too cold, in the 20s. I done up the
housework and wrapped up the presents. Blanche here in forenoon. Betty home
early from school.
