A very nice day. Cool. Esther and children here today. I washed. Esther did most of the ironing. Didn’t do much today except to visit. Betty to Zayres today with Dawn. She got to skirts and a sweater in Portland.

Friday, August 26, 1960

I done up the work, cleaned up the house, didn’t go to town tonight. Bill worked at Jim’s in evening.

Saturday, August 27, 1960

A nice day but hot. I done up the work in p.m. Billie C, Esther, Betty, Billie D and Susan and I all went up to Denmark grocery shopping. Esther and children here for supper.

Sunday, August 28, 1960

Another nice day. Had the whole family here for a cookout. All seemed to enjoy it. Lloyd trying out a new car. 1958 Chevy.
