Wednesday, January 21, 1959

Clouded up in p.m. and stormed. Bill worked for Jim. He and Billie took some beans to Raymond for him. I did my washing. Mrs. Bertha Yates died tonight at 9:15. Made out order for Sears. Bruce gone two weeks today.

Thursday, January 22, 1959 Letter from Ann Kalwell

Rained hard this forenoon. Bad road conditions. No school. Betty up to Dawn’s all day. I finished order to Sears and sent it. I washed Billie’s floors, windows, settled his room. Billie to town in late p.m. I sent Sears letter. Kennard called. Kay up here tonight.

Today I got a letter from Miss Ann Kalwell telling me about Bruce. I still miss him so much. The nice letter helped a lot.

Friday, January 23, 1959

I cleaned Mama’s bedroom, the bathroom. Looks so nice. In evening Gordon and Sally called.

Saturday, January 24, 1959

A nice day. I churned, ironed, cooked. In p.m. Bill and I went to Mrs. Yate’s funeral. She looked very nice. Pretty flowers and a lot of people there. Betty to movies in evening.

Sunday, January 25, 1959

Fair, not too cold. Cooked, cleaned up the house, wrote letters in p.m. Lloyd called in a.m. Raymond called in evening.
