September 3 - 5, 1958

Wednesday, September 3, 1958 School Began

Betty began her sophomore year. A very nice cool fall day. Very pretty. I cleaned up the whole house. Betty had a good time at school. Raymond called. Kennie and Dot called. Cold this morning.

Thursday, September 4, 1958 AUNT LINNIE

A nice day. I went over and visited at Aunt Ava’s all day. Came home, got supper. Raymond called about suppertime. Aunt Linnie quite weak he said and breathing hard. At about 10:30 PM she died. Blanche was with her and Marion Arris.

Friday, September 5, 1958

We shelled and froze eight boxes of string beans. Done a lot of telephoning today. Aunt Ava and I ordered some flowers. In evening she and I went down to the funeral parlor to see Aunt Linnie. She looks so nice. Nice day. Dolores called. Billie bought a new cow.
