Nice day, cool. I cooked, churned, done up the work.

Wednesday, August 20, 1958

Dennis Harvey Adair  (blank space)  years old today. Cleaned up the whole house. Betty cleaned up the barn. Betty went to Portland with Bill in p.m. I went over to Aunt Linnie’s in evening. She is bad. I set up at night with her.

Thursday, August 21, 1958

A nice day. We had showers in p.m. In a.m. Dawn, Betty, Norma and I went to Norway to get Betty’s school clothes. In p.m., over to Aunt Linnie’s. She isn’t good.

Friday, August 22, 1958 Perm.

A nice day. Billie home all day. He penned up electric fence. Betty got a permanent and a very pretty dress. Bill and I to town, paid the taxes $105.00. Raymond, Kennie and Bobby called.

Saturday, August 23, 1958

I cooked and churned. Betty and Norma did up the housework. They helped Raymond mow lawns at his house. Nice day. Aunt Linnie not very good. Thena up there with her.

Sunday, August 24, 1958

Cloudy. Kind of cold. Bill and Raymond painted. Norma helped to paint. Mama, Billie, kids and I called on Aunt Linnie. She looked pretty good.
