October 16 - 19, 1957



Wednesday, October 16, 1957

Today Dorothea and Dennis picture came out in the Portland Press Herald, very very good. I did some cooking, cleaned up the house downstairs. Dawn and I went to town in a.m. In p.m. Dot, Lorraine and Wanda Jean called. In evening we went down to George and Thena’s to see pictures of their trip to the West Coast. Robert, Blanche, Kennie, Dot, Dolores, Kennard, Fern, Lloyd, Uncle Oz, Fern, Aunt Ava, Uncle Lewis, Aunt Linnie, Billie, Mama, Betty and I. $100 check came from Mr. Ayers.



Thursday, October 17, 1957

Another clear sunny dry day. I ironed, helped Billie get water. Did up regular work. Bill and Billie took cows over to spring for their water tonight. Betty down to F. H. A. at the school tonight. Kay came up for the night. I took my clothes I had done for Mrs. Dearborn back tonight. Called to see Lloyd’s pullets.



Friday, October 18, 1957

I cleaned up the house. Delores called. Kennard called. It was cloudy today. In p.m. went to town, paid the TAXES.



Saturday, October 19, 1957

A good rain last night. Rained all day. Bill didn’t work. He put plugs in kitchen. In p.m., after Billie came home, we killed, cleaned and wrap eleven fowl. Kennard had one, we kept one for dinner. Aunt Ava and Hulda called. Billie cleaned up the hen house.
