Cloudy and some rain. I didn’t wash today. Didn’t do much. Donnie not too good today. Fern and Lloyd called in evening.

Tuesday, August 27, 1957

A very nice day. I washed and ironed today. Got a letter from Betty today, she is up in Winthrop. Also Dorothea’s invitation to her wedding to Dennis Harvey Adair. Raymond called in evening.

Wednesday, August 28, 1957

A very nice day. I cooked. Aunt Ava and Uncle Lewis called. I cleaned up the house downstairs. I picked another mess peas. Donnie quite sick today.

Thursday, August 29, 1957

Donnie very sick today, in bed. I defrosted deep-freeze. Cleaned up Betty’s room. Went to town with Lloyd. Up to Bob and Blanche’s in evening.
