Sunday, February 17, 1957 Betty’s 14th Birthday
Betty 14 years today. Terri and Kay came home from church
with Betty, had chicken dinner. In p.m. Aunt Ava and Uncle Lewis called. Also
Ferns, Lloyd and Uncle Os came, had ice cream and birthday cake. Kay and Betty
left after supper to go down and stay at choose house. They went to Naples with
Hayden and Caleb to the Hymn Sing.
Monday, February 18, 1957
A nice day. Kind of cold and morning. I washed, went to
town. Everett Larrabee was found dead today, committed suicide. A shock to
townspeople. Betty came home from Kay’s today.
Tuesday, February 19, 1957
Busy today. I cooked, ironed and cleaned up downstairs.
Betty didn’t get up very early. Billie worked for Dennis.
Wednesday, February 20, 1957
A fair day, but much colder. Didn’t have anything in
particular to do, but picked over some things in the desk. Put Dorothea’s old
letters away. Billie worked for Chet today. Helen, Kay and Susan Palmer called
in p.m. Uncle Os called in a.m. In evening Kay came back with Betty from choir
rehearsal to stay all night. Got car fixed today.
Thursday, February 21, 1957
A very nice day. I washed some windows. Did up the regular
work. Kay and Betty went up to Lil’s today. Bill got his license today. Betty
down to Kay’s tonight. Billie worked up to Chet’s today.
