I cooked and churned. It was cooler today. Paid the taxes tonight $105.50. Holly down after school.

Friday, October 19, 1956

A very nice day but much cooler. I cleaned up the house. Over to Aunt Linnie’s in evening.

Saturday, October 20, 1956

A very nice day. I did up the work. Bill home at noon. He and Lloyd worked on the strawberry plants. We went to town in the evening. Betty came home from Kay’s this morning. I get a $15.00 check from Lida today.

Sunday, October 21, 1956

A very nice warm day. Kay came home with Betty from church. Betty was on the mean side this morning. In p.m. Mama and I went down to Ferns to visit on her birthday while Bill worked with Lloyd. Sara married again to Norman and left for Florida. Billie worked over to Raymond’s today. Delores called. Betty down to Kays tonight.

Monday, October 22, 1956

A nice day. I washed, churned and done up the work. We cut up and wrapped a quarter of beef tonight. Took hamburg over to Raymond’s and ground in his meat chopper.
