Sunday, July 1, 1956

A nice hot day at 8:00 AM we left for Stoneham Massachusetts, Brud and Verna’s with Es and Susan. Had a nice trip and lunch and a good time at Brud’s. Got there at about 11 and started for home at one. Got home about 5. Fern, Lloyd, Bill, Betty and I took them up, stopped at Putman’s candy kitchen. Get some good candies. Missed Es and Susan.

Monday, July 2, 1956

A very nice day. I washed. Cleaned up the house. McCammon came today. Missed Es and Susan all day.

Tuesday, July 3, 1956

I ironed and cooked. Nice day. Quite hot. Kennie and Dot up in eve. Carl worked on his car all forenoon. Went with Lloyd in p.m.

Wednesday, July 4, 1956 Fourth of July

A very nice day. I parade downtown. McCammmon’s went down to Fern and Lloyd’s today. In late p.m. they all came up here, we had a cookout, a good time. In eve after dark went to the fireworks downtown. Fern, Lloyd and McCammon went up the chairlift today.
