A very nice day. I went down in woods looking for raspberries. Cindy the Jersey cow had her calf tonight. Half Guernsey half jersey, nice one. Fern & Lloyd called in late p.m. On the cold side.

Thursday, August 2, 1956

A cool but nice clear day. I didn’t do anything much today. Betty gone swimming. I churned. Gordon hauled a load of blacktop for driveway.

Friday, August 3, 1956

I cleaned up the house. Jill here in p.m. She and Betty up to Terri’s. Cold today.

Saturday, August 4, 1956

A very nice day. I cooked and did up the work. Verna and Nola down in p.m. Betty went swimming. To movies in the evening. Bill took me to town. Warmer.
