Nice day. I cooked and ironed. They worked in woods all day. Raymond out to mailbox today. Sent stamps to Dorothea today. Frances came up to Aunt Linnie’s tonight.

Wednesday, March 7, 1956

A fair day. I cooked and cleaned up the house. Over to Raymond’s in the evening. Betty got other polio shot at school. Bill and Kennard made a tire for snow tread for Kennard.

Thursday, March 8, 1956

A very bad day. Snow, sleet, rain, and no school. Awful traveling. Bill sick, Mama not too good.

Friday, March 9, 1956

A very windy day, snow blowing some. Bill and I went to town. Paid Dorothea’s Christmas club up to date 15 weeks. They came with horses and began hauling out the logs.
